Ship Handling for Marine Pilots Advance (SPA) – 4 days (FTF / Online)

The course provides ship masters and pilots to undergo various environmental situations and meteorological conditions navigating with limitations and critical maneuvers through the virtual environment. Training with simulation facilitates marine pilots to plan the course of the vessel considering tides, weather, size, weight, tug requirements, and other characteristics such as maneuvers in congested waters.

Entry Requirements

This course is open to Masters, and senior pilots engaged in pilotage services.

• Minimum requirements for certification is masters on ships of 500 gross tonnage or more.
• Chief officers with a minimum of 3 years sea service can enroll for this course.
