Ship Handling for Marine Pilots Basic (SPB) – 3 days (FTF/Online)

The course provides ship masters and pilots to experience multiple environmental scenarios and weather conditions in a safe and controlled setting through the virtual environment. Training with simulation facilitates marine pilots plan the course of the vessel considering tides, weather, size, weight, tug requirements, and other characteristics.

Entry Requirements

This course is open to Masters, trainee pilots and junior pilots engaged in pilotage services. Minimum requirements for certification of masters on ships of 500 gross tonnage or more. Chief officers with a minimum of 2 years sea service can enroll for this course.
